Android Menu "Hide Bar" Option Making a Comback in Future BlackBerry 10.2 Builds

Android Hide Bar

One of the things that has annoyed me recently on my Q10 is how OS 10.2 always shows the Android back menu bar in Android apps. Previously you were able to hide the bar which was useful for games and other apps. Bla1ze over @CrackBerry has confirmed that starting with OS and up this feature will be returning though it has not leaked yet. Its actually shown off in the screenshot above on OS Anyone else happy the option is coming back?

  1. Will the bar be there by default with the option to hide it only if the user chooses to do so?

I hope that is the way cause I don’t want to see people bitching about the lack of a back button for apps like kindle and other android ports..

  2. What a relief! That was really starting to get to me as well. It really makes a difference on games. The Angry Birds screen become just a wee bit smaller but it makes a big difference. And I I couldn’t get Temple Run games to react to the touchscreen at all and I have a feeling it was because of that.

  3. Not long to wait before this drops in a nearby forum 😉
