Bell To Launch Mobile TV For BlackBerry 10?

belltv

Mobile TV is something that is actively being pursued by quite a few content providers, some via internet streaming, some requiring the use of applications to watch. A credible source just let us know that Bell Canada will be launching their Mobile TV on BlackBerry 10 on August 19 which is just a while more. Whether or not it will come in form of a android port or a nice native application is up for guesses, but hey, if you are a fan of watching TV on mobile, be sure to keep an eye out right here when it launches!

If Bell really does launch the application, it will be the right step forward for BlackBerry 10 platform and there really is no reason or excuse for other content providers or networks (Oh Rogers…) not to do so.

Are you excited for this?

Thanks to our usual anonymous tipster once again for this!

  1. I will have to see what the terms are. I get six GB of data now which I use half of, would BellTV eat up that data or is it different data? Can you watch shows on demand just on a schedule like TV? If I am a Bell TV subscriber (which I am) do I pay more for this service? I can see me connecting my Z10 to a Monitor for all my TV viewing if the terms are right.

  2. I wish they would return that free TV service they had on AT&T when I had my Bold 9000 and 9700.

  3. TV would be nice. BlackBerry needs to built for BlackBerry media services.

  4. This WILL launch on BB10. It comes on all BB10, 2 year contracts w/ FREE 10hrs per Month. Comes with 24-26ch’s.

This WILL NOT affect your DATA. If you want unlimited viewing per month, it only costs an extra $5 per month. Again does not affect your DATA PLAN.

I purchased a White Z10 the other day from BELL in person and they Guarantee the above information 100%. I am holding out for the Z30 in WHITE PLEASE 😉

  5. The white Z10 was for the wife by the way, and after 10hrs it will auto stop playing TV, so you can never watch more than 10hrs in fear of extra costs. Good Job BELL.
