BlackBerry mentioned that there was going to be a bit of management shakeup this quarter. The latest to fall out of the tree is David J Smith according to the Wall Street Journal. Smith was EVP of Mobile Computing and resigned for personal reasons and is continuing on to ensure a proper transition. Smith was in charge of the PlayBook since right after its 2011 launch. 1. Not suprising, no BB10 for PlayBook, why would they need an PlayBook exec.

  2. True but they did have that whole mobile computing shpeil going on

    • Ironic isn’t it. BlackBerry talks about mobile computing, yet they have stopped upgrading their tablet and tablets are still at the forefront of mobile computing.

  3. You’ve heard of 2nd verse same as the first. In BB’s case, it’s 89th verse same as the 88th. They’re marketing program is “Keep moving” but BB keeps bumbling, fumbling, mumbling and stumbling. Promises. Promises. And more promises. Misexecution. Misexecution. And more misexecution.
