BlackBerry Enterprise Server Hits 18,000 Installations Including 60%+ of US Fortune 500

 BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10

BlackBerry made a big splash today with the launch of Secure Work Space for Android and iOS on the new BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10.1.1. They spilled a little in terms of details on the success of the rollout to Reuters. They confirmed that there are now 18,000 BES servers installed since it launched in January. That is coming from only 12,000 a month ago. On top of that BlackBerry confirmed that more than 60% of US Fortune 500 companies are testing BES 10 or already have it deployed.

That is some impressive growth especially since there is not a direct upgrade path from BES 5.

  1. I think the other 40% of Fortune 500 companies are missing out. They should also consider testing BES 10, even if they don’t deploy BlackBerrys.

  2. Agreed, and almost guarantee those 40% that do try out BES10 would probably go for it, because its that good.

Just look at companies like Home Depot, they had a Apple iOS contract, before BES10 was even available, now I can see them kicking themselves for not going BES10.
