Verizon Has Confirmed The Seven Devices That Support Its AWS LTE Network

vzw

Laptop Mag has an article announcing Verizon’s confirmation of the upcoming Advanced Wireless Services and the seven devices that will support it so far. The network isn’t ready just yet, but we’ve got the details. So why are we posting it? Because one of the seven devices is none other than the BlackBerry Q10! I hope the BlackBerry Z10 will as well but it wasn’t mentioned so far in the announcements.

Here’s the details. Along with the BlackBerry Q10 are the Samsung Galaxy S4, Nokia Lumia 928, two tablets and two jetpacks. The carrier’s AWS band will be activated later this year, the first of the devices was sold last November, and that most of the devices from here on out will be AWS capable.

Right now Verizon services operate on band 13 which is in the 700 MHz range. AWS will be based on Band 4 and this upgrade will more than double internet speeds.

This is going to be blazing fast. You can read more on the Laptop Mag site. Who’s excited about more internet speed and the BlackBerry Q10? I’m sure we all are!
