BlackBerry Q10 Takes Top Selling Phone in France SFR 2 Weeks After Launch!

Seeking Alpha has a great article by Jean-Christophe Larsimont, about the BlackBerry Q10 sales based on a French Telecom company by the name of SFR that serves 21 MILLION customers as of last year and is the third most important company in France. The company allows users to view mobiles based on best selling and allows you to compare with Google and Apple devices as well.

The information was quite interesting, with the BlackBerry Q10 being the top selling phone above the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4. That’s really encouraging with knowing the phone has been out for a few weeks. Then there’s the Z10. While the Q10 is at the top, the sales of the Z10 are better than the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Keep in mind that this is only one view into the sales of one carrier, but the news is still very positive. We’ll see about the BlackBerry Z10 sales when BlackBerry reports their Q1 results, and the Q10 we’ll have to wait until December to find out. Check out the article and let us know what you think.

  1. Let’s bear in mind that the iPhone 5 is over 5 times more expensive than the Z10 and almost three times more expensive than the Q10, so volume is expected to be lower.

Still, looks like BlackBerry is pricing their phones right in France 🙂

  2. Hopefully, Blackberry can capitalize on this momentum and this carries over into big sales in the US.
