Tutorial: How To Take Screenshots With Your BlackBerry Z10

Screenshots can be useful for several reasons. One is troubleshooting, share what you’re looking at and ask for feedback, keep a snapshot of something you want to keep, a picture, there are several reasons. You can also share your wallpaper with friends with a screenshot. With BlackBerry OS 6.0 and 7.0 I used ZonaSnap for screenshots. With the BlackBerry Z10, the ability is built into the phone. So I’m going to go through a quick tutorial with you on how to do the screenshot and also how to take a screenshot of your wallpaper.

Starting with your BlackBerry Z10, wake it up. To test taking one, simply hold the volume up and volume down buttons at the same time quickly and the phone takes a screenshot. You can take a screenshot in any screen.

To take a screenshot of your wallpaper sounds like it’s difficult, but it’s a lot easier than you’d expect. First scroll to the last page of your apps. Then with one hand, take your finger and slide it to the left until the apps are not visible and with the other hand  hold the volume up and volume down buttons for a quick sec and you’ll have a perfect shot of your wallpaper.

Have you ever taken or shared screenshots? What do you use them for that we haven’t mentioned?

  1. From what I’ve found, you can’t take a screen shot in the time shift camera. After it takes the 10 shots, you can’t save multiple, so I tried screen shot. Didn’t work.
