Some of the BlackBerry Q10 Apps That Will Be Available At Launch

IMG_00000031

One of my main concerns with the BlackBerry Q10 is that its app catalog will be lighter than the BlackBerry Z10 due to its new screen size. BlackBerry seems to be trying to address that by listing the apps that will be available at launch. That includes Skype that we just reviewed along with a few others. The only apps that I have really been missing on my BlackBerry Q10 are WhatsApp and Google Talk but supposedly they are incoming.

Here is just a short list of some of the BlackBerry Q10 apps that will be available at launch:

  1. Wait, the apps will be completely different set of apps compared to Z10?
So what’s available on Z10 may not be available on Q10, that’s terrible. Will TuneIn be available? It must be a core requirement that all apps built for OS10 be compatible/scalable for all OS10 devices.
This list is a little concerning..
Funny, Q/Z can run Android apps, but cannot run each other’s apps..

  2. Photo Studio (Android version) will be available for Q10 too.

  3. Tunein wasn’t in the list, but it’s probably because the dev did not update the list of compatible devices.

That official list from BB is scary though. There is absolutely nothing exciting on there and a lot of apps are from BB itself.

    • Yeah this is in no way even close to the actual list of apps. These are just the apps that BlackBerry has commitments from partners to release or are already in BlackBerry World. That is why apps like WhatsApp were not on the list even though they just launched yesterday.

  4. @ “must be approval Wednesday”…..lol. ofutur you cracking me up!
