Up here in Canada it’s tough not to know about the BlackBerry Z10. We see ads from carriers and direct from BlackBerry in all forms. Billboards, on the side of buses and commuter trains, newspapers, radio, and TV commercials are filled with the Z10 and it’s most popular features. It is so nice to see the marketing team finally has their act together after so many years of mediocrity. What surprises me most is how much younger kids know when they see my Z10. I haven’t seen brand recognition and knowledge like this since the Pearl 8100.
We have seen the creative peek spot featured during a Blue Jays game and I see full 30 second spots almost every time I sit down for some prime time viewing. I noticed a quick but effective ad last night on CityTV that also shows off the handy peek gesture. Check it out below. Hint: Its the parts before and after Scandal.
