Rogers Set to Release BlackBerry Q10 April 30

rogers-blackberry-q10-release-e1365116114490As much as I do not like to rely on generic looking, fuzzy pictures of a computer screen, a small amount of experience has shown me that more often than not, they’re legit. In this case, we have the BlackBerry Q10, the 1st BlackBerry superphone to sport the shiny BlackBerry 10 OS AND the iconic physical qwerty keyboard. Said fuzzy picture claims that Rogers will be releasing this little powerhouse to the masses at the end of the month. I am more than happy with my Z10 but I am quite curious to see how well the Q10 sells. We have heard rumblings that there is a large user base that has been waiting for the Q to arrive so I wouldn’t be surprised if sales are impressive.

On the other hand, I know there are also BlackBerry fans out there that couldn’t wait to get their hands on anything BlackBerry 10 and pounced on the Z10 even though their first choice was the Q10. I know I was pleasantly surprised with the awesomeness of the virtual keyboard and I’m sure others have been as well. The only thing I have been missing are my keyboard shortcuts. It would be nice to have a little more battery staying power as well which the Q should have no problem with. I see the Q10 as potentially being the 97xx of the new generation of BlackBerry devices for the true power user. Tried and tested form factor, amazing battery life, and awesome keyboard.

What are your thoughts on the Q10? Is the physical keyboard a non negotiable feature for you? Do you have a couple on preorder with your Z10 eBay listing ready to go? Are you one of the impatient Z10 buyers? Let’s hope fuzzy picture is as accurate as I know he can be. 😉

  1. I wanted the Q, too. Ultimately didn’t wait and I picked up a Z. I love this thing. I do miss the shortcuts, too. I’m thinking that if the only real difference is the keyboard and the smaller screen that the Z is the choice for me.

  2. Even though the big screen was very appealing, form follows function is the way for me.

  3. It’s about time! I’m happy to see they’ve resolved many of the UI issues with the 720×720 screen format. This phone will rock, but I’ll remain a Z-man 🙂

  4. After study just a few of the blog posts on your web site now, and I really like your method of blogging. I bookmarked it to my bookmark web site checklist and can be checking again soon. Pls take a look at my website as nicely and let me know what you think.
