Occipital Lets You Take Beautiful 360 Panorama Shots on BlackBerry 10 (Native)

Occipital Occipital2

Luis and I ran into the Occipital developers at BlackBerry World about a year ago when they starting bringing their awesome app to BlackBerry 10. Now a year later the slick 360 Panorama app is available for everyone to pick up in BlackBerry World. It is built for the BlackBerry Z10 natively and works beautifully. It combines your phones camera with the gyroscope to take pictures while you spin around the room filling the canvas. You can then navigate the pictures the same way.

Best of all is the ability to share your 360 degree panoramas on Facebook, Twitter, or via email along with the GPS tagged location. I just used this for my trip in San Diego while I was at the Wild Animal Park and it was awesome! I have also seen realtors use it to show off apartments or other spaces.

  1. What is required to “replay” the picture? Can you send it via email or are you redirected to their website?

  2. Has anybody else had trouble finding the app?

  3. I have a Verizon Z10 and it says that this app is not available for this device. Anyone else getting this?

  4. I am on a VZ Z10 as well and can’t find it either.

  5. I can only get a 90 panorama and then no more…
