In the Tri-state Area? Join Us Midnight Tomorrow @ Best Buy Union Square

Union Square Best Buy

Tomorrow night is the night many of us have been waiting for. The BlackBerry Z10 will finally be available just after the strike of midnight on Thursday (going into Friday). AT&T will be carrying the BlackBerry Z10 immediately and luckily our little island of Manhattan has a Best Buy that never sleeps.

We wanted to invite you all to join us at Best Buy Union Square at 12:01AM Friday (aka tomorrow night after midnight) at the following address:

Best Buy
52 E. 14th Street
New York, NY 10003
Google Maps Link

This is your chance to be one of the first in the country to get a BlackBerry Z10 from AT&T. This is also your chance to try out the Z10 for yourself, get a demo, meet some BlackBerry people and best of all win some prizes and swag! I will be down there along with Dave if his twins let him and when I met Kevin earlier this week he told me some of the CrackBerry team will be there too.

Let us know if you are going to come out and hang out with some of the BlackBerry faithful in the city that never sleeps. 🙂

PS: Bonus NYC trivia points if you know what’s in the picture below:

  1. Would love to join you guys, but reports indicate Best Buy won’t be selling out of contract-unlocked Z10, so I will not be there. I will have to visit a local AT&T store instead.

  2. The numbers on the wall is the US national debt.

    • That would be a great idea but sadly no. I thought the same once and my second guess was that it was a UNIX timestamp. Both wrong.

      • Ronen, you are close, I guess you already know the answer. Being a new yorker and having seen that batch of numbers for a very long time (that place used to be a Circuit City, I bought my first 36″ HD TV there, it was a tube Sony) I will let someone else have another shot at it.

That spot used to be my favorite corner, Virgin Megastore, when Union Square was not invaded by performers and funky mustaches and thick glasses.. Enough nostalgia.. back to work

    • Nah, that used to be on 6th and 42nd, a big sign right at the corner on the side of a building, I don’t know where that sign went since the whole area was “developed” in Guliani era, and Bloomberg just rezoned and let huge hotels extend times square past broadway in 4 directions.

  3. its just a clock i forgot how to read it i think its right to left not left to right… or both. It is an art installation and it works in tandem with the metronome (which is not in your picture) I only know this because i am an artist (in my own respect these days) and big permanent art installations are a big deal. There are plenty of these oddball things like the love signs, cows, statues etc… many in the subway including the subway “bandits” as i call them at the 8th avenue E & L train station

there is more subway installations on the site but you get the idea.
