Official Guide for Importing Outlook Contacts to BlackBerry 10 via BlackBerry Link USB

Outlook Import

We just told you that BlackBerry has added a one way sync (AKA Import) feature to BlackBerry Link. This allows users to import their Outlook calendar and contacts to BlackBerry 10 using their Windows PC. Sadly BlackBerry did not include a guide for this new feature in their manual but Ty at BlackBerry has filled in the gap on the BlackBerry Help Blog. He details how to perform the sync with Outlook 2007, 2010, and 2013.

  1. This update is rubbish. Its a oneway import. We need to have a 2 way sync which is only due some time in the future.

Was this put in place to pacify us. Does RIM/BB think we are fools?

  2. Well it did a little more than import my Outlook contacts in, it also brought over every single email addresses I had on Outlook even if I responded to an email once… grrr… now I have to go and delete all of these extra emails.

  3. I tried this and most of imported but some details did not transfer (birthdays and anniversaries). Any ideas?
