gNewsReader has finally brought a nice native Google Reader client to BlackBerry 10 just as Google announces that they are decapitating Google Reader. The developer Yogeshwar has kindly made the app free after Googles announcement until he has some firm plans to announce. He is looking for alternatives during the 3 month sunset period Google has announced before they kill off Reader. Hopefully one of the many services vying to be an alternative will step up and offer API compatibility support. Best of all would be them creating a standard API and allowing users to choose their own compatible service.
Either way you can use gNewsReader free as a Google Reader client until then

This is good news about it being free but sucks for the people who had to pay.

What do you all suggest for replacement when google reader is retired? I still cannot believe they are discontinuing it.
