A few readers sent us a new Forbes article about the changes to BlackBerry brand awareness in the last 12 months. According to BrandIndex BlackBerry brand awareness is growing nicely ahead of the US launch while purchase intent for iPhone users has gone down. Ad awareness of the BlackBerry brand with smartphone owners went up from 6% in mid January to 21% now in February after BlackBerrys ad blitz.
Forbes points out that YouGov InvestorView is also showing similar data pointing towards higher purchase intent from BlackBerry users than this time last year. Just compare the two charts below:
