BlackBerry has been testing BBM with support for BBM Voice on BlackBerry OS 5.0+ devices for awhile in the Beta Zone. It is now ready for prime time and they have released this upgrade to BBM 7.0.1.23 for all OS 5.0+ devices. This essentially allows BBM 5 devices in on the BBM Voice game.
Here are the features of BBM 7:
- Multi-tasking with Split-screen feature – Customers can do more while they talk, such as check other BBM text chats, check email, or navigate to other apps while engaged on a BBM Voice call. They can start a call in an instant, and switch between texting and talking, or text and talk at the same time. They can also for example, send a picture to a contact while they are talking with them.
- Clear Visual Indicator – Customers can see when contacts are available for a voice call.
- Convenient Compatibility with Accessories – Customers can use their favorite accessories, such as a Bluetooth® or wired headset, or use their BlackBerry smartphone’s speakerphone.
- Simple BlackBerry ID Synchronization – Customers can set up BBID to link their BBM profile, Groups and Contacts with the BBID for easy backup and restore. BBID is required for BBM Voice and this can be set up when upgrading. The data will also carry over when they move to BlackBerry® 10.

after upgrading to this version BBM has disappeared from my phone. i tried rebooting but nothing happened. the phone said that the application is installed but i cant find it anywhere. i cant even delete the app so i can reinstall it. what do i do?

I have the same problem, after upgrading I cant find BBM and there is no option to delete so I can reinstall. HELP!!

I had to downgrade back to the older version on my 8520 as it kept giving me issues connecting to my wifi on v7

Same to my 8520, I have updated my bbm to 7.0.1 it keeps me giving a problem with my wifi.. It says insuficient wireless coverage blah blah blah.. Share anyone if you have fix for this thanks.

why i cant find my BBM on BBM World?? O.O and why i cant update my BBM 6.2 into BBM 7.1?? it says Unavailable to your device..
