BlackBerry z10 Launch – Singapore (Pictures!)

2 days ago, on the (mostly) sunny tropical island of Singapore, BlackBerry launched the z10. To be made available starting from March 7, the launch showcases the accessory, device as well as lots of interaction between the BlackBerry community in Singapore. While BlackBerry is not exactly the hottest here, the launch indeed created some buzz and excitement even from users from other platforms.

Just before the party, clouds formed and the rain came, giving a very heavy downpour, however, spirits were not dampened and fans firm stood together.

Country director, Charles Durforcq was on hand to give the opening statement and introduction to BlackBerry 10 in Singapore.

Damian Tay, Senior Director: Asia-Pacific Product Management, giving the guests a rundown of the z10 features.

Paul Foster, a rising actor and model in Singapore, was the host for the day.

There was also a showcase of all the various accessories available.

And here is the moment of truth, the device showcase – in white and black.

The room is filling up with the BlackBerry fans!!

Celebrating 10 years in Singapore, BlackBerry prepared a special cake, shaped in the number 10.
Senior BlackBerry staff, including Gail Brennan (director of marketing, BlackBerry Singapore) and Charles were on hand to cut the cake.

Now, the prizes are being given away… There were z10’s given away too, however, winners were given a IOU instead, so they could collect their prizes on the 7 March instead.

  1. Wow… Looks like fun!

  2. Looking for a big launch… everywhere!!!! Way to go Singapore. Keep the support strong and BlackBerry will release more awesome devices this year. There really needs to be a great alternative to the stale iPhone and wild Android worlds.
