BlackBerry 10 WebWorks February SDK Refresh Adds In App Payment & More

money Applause

BlackBerry has continued its regular updates to the WebWorks SDK out of band with the other BlackBerry 10 SDKs. The latest update for February brings the much needed payment service to WebWorks developers allowing one time and subscription payments. They have also added better support for BBM social APIs. Last but not least they now have the popup blocker disabled by default in WebWorks apps while offering you the ability to turn it back on. Now we just need the advertising service and tie in with some big ad partners.

Check out the updated WebWorks SDK here or find the announcement here

  1. Finally! I can’t believe that 3 years after having introduced the Playbook, they still haven’t figured out how to bring ads to HTML apps… Nobody but BlackBerry is serving ads for the platform. By hacking you can serve ads for Android, the mobile web, etc. Really bad for end users…
