Easily Filter Your BlackBerry 10 Hub by Unread, Flags, & More

IMG_00000552 IMG_00000553

One of the features I have been missing from my BlackBerry 9900 when switching to the BlackBerry Z10 was the ability to easily view only my unread messages. No other platform really has this since it is a challenge on touchscreens. That is why I was very happy that I did find a way to do it in 3 clicks on my BlackBerry Z10. The trick is that the search functionality also has a filter option with the ability to filter search results AND messages by unread, attachment, flagged, received, today, yesterday, and last week. This is truly a great way to find that email you have been hunting for across multiple email accounts.

To do it simply open up the BlackBerry hub and:

  1. Click the search button
  2. click the three bars to the left of the search bar on top
  3. In the left action menu that pops up scroll down and select “Unread” or any other option you wish

Let me know if you spot any other ways to do this!

  2. I would prefer to be able to use shortcuts (don’t understand why this can’t be done on a touchscreen), but this is a great trick to solve one of the annoyest problem I had with Z10.

As soon as I’ll have full notification customization, I’ll be really happy with my new phone.

    Thanks Ronen!
