Save Login & Password Information in the BlackBerry 10 Browser

One of the coolest and much needed features that BlackBerry added in BlackBerry 10 is the ability to save passwords in the browser. It simply prompts you after you login to a website if you wish to save the password for later use. Next time you browse to the page the username and password will be prefilled. If you try to change the password you will be asked if you want to overwrite it. They also added the ability for you to move from one form item to another using the next, previous, and submit buttons.

I personally found the feature awesome but I wish it would integrate with the Password Keeper app from BlackBerry. I know they have plans to do something along that route with the ability to edit your saved credentials later.

  1. Finally !!!!!!!!! I have been waiting for this for so long. I always wondered why they couldnt use the passwords from the pass keeper

  2. Why anyone would want to type again their 100+ passwords into their phone instead of importing them is beyond my understanding.
BlackBerry needs to introduce at least a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox while we wait for extensions to make their way into the BB browser.

  3. I agree. I wish they could find a way to sync it. I spoke to a couple of people on the browser team and they finally have free reign to make the browser awesome. Expect way more!
