I was talking to a good friend of mine this morning, Tristan Cater. We were talking about the video chat feature and how it was so great, and then he noted that BlackBerry 10 users can video chat PlayBook users. We were both kind of surprised how no one has touched on this yet. How it works is, if you have added a contact by their BlackBerry ID that is associated with their PlayBook, or you have added the contact on your PlayBook via email, and they are in your contacts.
If you then go in to your contacts, and filter by BBM Video Chat, they will show up. It worked really well, the only thing that didn’t work was screen sharing, but maybe in the future! This also works if a PlayBook user wants to call a BlackBerry 10 user, by BlackBerry ID email.
He is blurry in the shot because of movement of when the screencap was taken, and he doesn’t want to become famous. The video chat is a lot clearer when streaming.

as shown above, you chose which device you want to call. So if I wanted to call a PlayBook, I just select the PlayBook.
And people with the same BBID can call their own devices.

I am being able to call my Z10 from the Playbook but not from my Playbook to the Z10. I do have the same blackberry ID email address but a different PIN so I can’t figure out why
