BlackBerry 10 Experience Fan Event NYC Was a Hit

Dave-Ronen-Thorsten

RIM threw their BlackBerry 10 Experience Fan Events last night after the launch event as a way to reach out to their fans. The focus of the event was to focus on the fans and show them what they have been waiting for so the BlackBerry employees at the event were limited compared to the launch. There were tons of BlackBerry Z10s around with people giving demos and we had 4 RIM employees roaming around with BlackBerry Q10s for demos. The event was upbeat and people were having loads of fun especially when Thorsten Heins and Frank Boulben walked in. Heins gave a little speech thanking everyone and then offered to take some pictures with fans at the booth they had for showing off the Z10 camera. That is where Dave scored the picture above of us with Heins.

Were you at one of the fan events yesterday? If so how was it?

  1. Great Shot!
    Man is he ever tall!
So, did you have to use the Time Shift to get that shot? Was he blinking like a weirdo like he was when they took the picture at the launch, just to make you use the timeshift?

  2. Put it this way I am 6′ and he towered over me. Heins is super tall. Nah we used an SLR for the picture. They did take a second picture with TimeShift but I don’t have a copy of it.

  3. Ah man I am sorry I missed that, were there actually a lot of fans or was it still just fans from the media?

  4. Where in NYC was the event held last night? I know they were originally planning to do it at Milk Studios down town.
