BlackBerry Q10 QWERTY Has Keyboard Shortcuts & Word Auto-Complete

One of the nice confirmations I got while playing with the QWERTY BlackBerry Q10 is that it carries on the BlackBerry QWERTY tradition of keyboard shortcuts. They work like a charm and allow you to hit R to reply and such. You also get the context sensitive auto complete that you see in the BlackBerry Z10 keyboard but it just shows up on top of the keyboard. All in all I am happy to see that keyboard shortcuts are here to stay!

  1. Amen to shortcuts and I hope they introduce a virtual trackpad at some point, the lens just doesn’t cut it.

  2. how bout some videos or pics?!

  3. Love the shortcuts. I still remember the look on my brother’s face a while ago when he was refreshing the score of a hockey game using the menu. I told him he can just hit R. He looked at me with a surprised face and said “are you serious?”

So it sounds like the Q10’s word complete will look sort of like what the Playbook looks like now with the words on top of the keyboard?

I was really thinking I might be able to take the plunge to all-touch with the Z10 but now that you reminded me of the shortcuts …. not sure if I can give that up.

  4. So are n and p backwards still like in OS 7?
That n takes you to an older email and p takes you to a newer one is ridiculous. Please BBRY, put n and p back to how they worked before.

  5. Damn I didn’t have a chance to check. Didn’t think of that

  6. I have only had issue’s with feezing on blackberry , if new blackberry would call a spade a spade yes we have fixed the freezing issue … bbm user 7 + years … would regain my
