BlackBerry Q10 QWERTY Hands On & Comparison With Z10 and Bold 9900

IMG_9647

RIM is sadly only allowing us to do guided tours of the BlackBerry Q10 but I did get a chance to dig for some more details and get some great shots of the device. (Sorry for the bluish lighting but I couldn’t help it) The BlackBerry Q10 is the QWERTY model for BlackBerry 10 and feels very solid in your hand. It has a SuperAMOLED screen compared to the AMOLED screen on BlackBerry Z10. Other than that they are more or less the same with a keyboard taking up screen estate. RIM made the keyboard 6% larger than the current Bold and the screen is 30% larger. You get the same gestures as you do on the BlackBerry Z10 which is nice.

Here is a close up and comparison of the physical keyboards.

RIM is using smaller Active Frames along with only 3 icon rows per page.

Here is a breakdown of the specs:

Check out the shots below to see how it looks! Here is RIM’s Landing Page for the device.

the blackberry phones i used to love for the last 5 years are history now. I bought a Z10 just for the sake of supporting BB.
