We are a day closer to BlackBerry 10 launching and we have another headlining developer announcing support for the device. You may have heard of Songza before as a newcomer to the free music streaming and personalization game. They have apps for Android and iOS which help you setup playlists for working out, commuting, or other activities supplanted with a nice recommendation engine. Sadly they did not support current BlackBerry 7 devices but it looks like they have had a change of heart when it comes to BlackBerry 10 support.
Songza confirmed to the Financial Post that they will be supporting BlackBerry 10. They stated that:
Over the past few months Songza has worked with RIM to develop an app that will work on the Waterloo, Ont.-based company’s BlackBerry 10 platform, the new operating system that will power its next generation of BlackBerry smartphones and is set to launch next week on Jan. 30.
I recommend checking out the rest of the interview with Alec Saunders over at the Financial Post.
