BlackBerry Messenger v7.0.0.130 In Beta Zone with OS 5.0 Support

RIM has just updated their BlackBerry Messenger beta to v7.0.0.130 in the Beta Zone. It is packing some “Improved Performance” along with support for BlackBerry OS 5.0. Here is the feature breakdown:

What’s new with BBM 7.0.1?

  • Support for devices running OS 5.0
  • Faster call setup for BBM Voice sessions
  • Improved device accessory handling (Bluetooth and headset integration)
  • BBID setup and integration improvements

Known issues:

  • Incorrect application version, instead of 7.0.1.x

  1. Seems to be a problem trying to download from beta zone. I get this: Error 500
    The server encountered an internal error and could not meet your request.
    Inform the Webmaster of the problem site(s).

  2. I get that too. Then the last time I got a message that I couldn’t participate because of exporting issues. lol. Sent it in to the Beta Team.
