Monitor RIM’s New Bentley QNX Concept Car @CES from Your Browser

 QNX - CES, Bentley Demo-000030

QNX has a really cool web service running on their new Bentley QNX CAR concept vehicle. They are running a fun web app that lets you monitor the Bentley from any browser in real time. It lets you see the data that the car publishes to the cloud along with things like what song is playing. There is even a Twitter feed and live camera from the floor of CES. As far as I can tell it is written in HTML5 which is also nice to see. QNX says this will potentially allow users in the future to:

  • Roll up your windows if it starts to rain
  • Find your car when you forget where it’s parked
  • Check to see if you need gas
  • Start your engine when it’s cold outside
  • Monitor the charge level of your battery

Check out the web app here or more info about the car here

  1. Sweet stuff, but I’m tired of just hearing about concept cars and seeing others release competing products on Cadillacs and Ford cars. It’s been 3 years of concept cars! Where can I buy it? What manufacturers/models is this available?

  2. Massive center display must mean 10 or 12-inch PlayBook is coming soon!

  3. Great to see Crank Storyboard Suite 3.o in the QNX Concept Car.
