As a heavy Google Voice user I was curious how this would play out. Last year right before the new year Google announced that they were extending the free calling service to 2012 but left the door open to do otherwise in 2013. Now Google has thankfully decided to extend this free calling through 2013 for the same US and Canada customers. I am glad to hear we get another free year but I am wondering how Google can possibly screw up Google Voice if and when they start charging for it. Better yet I am really hoping they plan on supporting BlackBerry 10 or at least open up the doors for third parties to add the functionality. What do you think?

Unless google plays some rude…trick on BlackBerry 10 browser, it should work from the browser without the app, a little annoying but on BlackBerry 7.1 on a 9810, I tested it and it worked…when I dialed, it called my phone first then the other party and connected.
Google hasn’t been treating BlackBerry users nicely for the past 2 years I have to say, winter cleaning they called it hu…

I’ve never used Google Voice, not even sure what it is. I assume it’s a type of wifi calling thing? I’ll google the Google and check it out.
