RIM Announces Q3 Fiscal 2013 Results Today at 5PM ET

This should be the last official fiscal results announcement or guidance from RIM before we see BlackBerry 10 launch. Their next quarterly results are on March 28th, 2013 and hopefully we will be hearing much better news on that call. Until then investors are going to be looking to see how RIM’s cash on hand/burn, device selling price, and subscriber numbers are doing. Let us know in the comments how you think it will play out!

  1. This is it, folks! The last bit of bad quarterly reports from RIM for the foreseeable future. This pre-BB10 period is two years in the making. We’re almost there, but we’ve got to see how they’ve managed to ride this storm out. I’m very optimistic that they will be in a great position moving forward.

The money spent on Hackathons and BB Jam sessions have been extremely positive. It may hurt the pocketbook, but it has been a fantastic long term investment in BB10’s ecosystem. Frank Boulben surprised me by announcing they will have 70,000 BB10 apps at launch! Wow! It took almost 3 years to get all of App World past 70,000 apps.

This figure is very impressive and will give BB10 users everywhere a substantial number of apps in their own language plus the top 200 apps we all want :^)
