RIM’s CMO Frank Boulben Talks About BlackBerry Comeback

Frank CMO

Frank Boulben took the job of Chief Marketing Officer at RIM during a pretty turbulent time. RIM was in dire need of a CMO for awhile and he seems to be acclimating well. There have been some amazing changes in the RIM marketing and PR arenas but the best is yet to come. Frank Boulben has been working on marketing BlackBerry 10 since he started and his big reveal is coming shortly.

He sat down with Forbes for a video interview on RIM’s comeback. Definitely worth watching below in the short or full interview:

  1. Impressive! Take the time to watch the long video. Frank is promising 70,000 apps at launch! I’m buzzed! This was one of the biggest weaknesses of BB10 — apps! RIM seems to have done a great job to get a ton of new apps on the platform. Okay, some of these apps aren’t all in English, but RIM needs the international community to give it a boost, and that’s happening. Hopefully, with a big take and lots of publicity, RIM can turn it around. I’m really pleased with what Frank has outlined for the near future. Super exciting!
