The BlackBerry 10 London has not really bee camera shy but as it gets closer to launch we are seeing more and more refinements show up in the leaked images. TechSuplex (via CrackBerry) scored some pictures of a newer version of the OS with the new homescreen icons. We also see some refinements in the camera, browser, and more. I feel bad that the person who took the shots still has an AMD laptop but hey I am still jealous of them!

Really disappointed to see that the browser UI still takes up such a large amount of the screen. I hope they fix that – every other mobile browser defaults to full or nearly full screen. BB10′s so far puts up a clunky address bar and leaves it there, taking up a significant chunk of screen real estate.

I’m sure you can pop it off.

Unfortunately not, at least not in the DA. I and some others messaged @blackberrydev about it — it goes counter to their ‘content is king’ UI guideline — and they said they’re still exploring options but have no plans to fix it.
All it would take was hiding it after the page loads :/
It is smaller than it was, I think, but still that’s a huge chunk of horizontal space in landscape mode.

Hiding after the page loads sounds good. Like it. I think RIM will need to hide the URL bar — they’ve done it with the PlayBook and BB7 browser. No reason to keep it hanging around for BB10. Screen space is king, especially on the keyboard device with smaller screen.
