Devs: RIM Shares OAuth WebWorks Sample Code for Twitter, Foursquare, & Facebook

If you have ever had to deal with OAuth in the past, specifically OAuth v1, then you know the pain it takes to integrate. RIM’s Chad Tetreault has thankfully come to the rescue with some great code samples for using OAuth in your BlackBerry 10 WebWorks apps. There are three sample apps showing you how to connect to Twitter, Facebook, and Foursquare. If you have been trying to add some social networking connectivity to your WebWorks app then definitely check out @chadtatro announcement of the new sample code or simply find it on GitHub at the links below:

  1. Honestly, I never understood what the fuss was about with libraries like jsOauth available and easy to use, but I’m glad RIM has provided repositories and I hope more samples and especially extensions are coming.
