I REALLY hope this is not a rumor. Specs for a hugely upgraded BlackBerry 10 device have been leaked. The device is codenamed Aristo and after looking at the specs your BB10 early adoption fantasies may or may not be delayed. Boasting a Krait Quad Core Qualcomm processor, a 4.65” screen with 1280 x 720 (16:9) resolution, a 2800mAh (non-removable) battery and 2 HD recording cameras, the Aristo is a beast. To put it in perspective, the iPhones screen is 640 x 1,136 pixels and the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a 4.8” display with 720 x 1,280 pixels. The GS3 is bigger, which means the pixel density on the Aristo is higher. Granted, by the time the Aristo is released (guesses?) I’m sure Samsung will have a more than viable answer when it comes to screen resolution. It’s interesting that the battery is non-removable. Full hardware integration might be necessary with 2800mAh under the hood. I like the removable battery option as I can quickly reset anytime and swap a drained battery for a fresh one if necessary.
Let’s hope these are the real specs for the L-series as well, and not those other specs that were leaked a few days ago.
So what if the Aristo doesn’t show up until much later than the less powerful L-Series? Will you still pick up the first BB10 device? Or hold off and wait for the Aristo awesomeness? Either way, the BB10 lineup just keeps getting better and better!

There is a huge difference between the two, one thing I doubt about the previous leak is the BT 2.1 vs 4.0
I don’t believe either for some reason, one is too bad, one’s too good, and a 2800 mAh doesn’t sound real to me yet…

2800mah is easily possible as long as they aren’t going for a super thin device.
The Galaxy note 2 has a 3100mah battery

If they are both true, then the L an N are mid level devices, R and M are entry level and A is well, the A star, high end device.

Great, this is all RIM needs. Blackberry fans waiting for later product. A failed launch of BB10 will be the final nail in the cofin for RIM.
If enough people wait for Aristo it’ll never happen, or you’ll be buying a great product from a bankrupt company with no future.

Ya, this A-Series was unexpected for me. To release a device so much more powerful so soon after releasing another could make things tough for RIM at the initial BB10 launch. On the other hand, most consumers likely won’t have heard about the A-Series even by then.
I wonder how much truth there is to this and the other specs that were leaked for the L-Series. I would love to see a roadmap of projected release dates.

I’m buying the first full – touch out the door. If they release something like this in the summer, I’ll grab that, too!

This seems the odd one out, with no removeable battery. It would be wise for RIMM to put their highest speced flagship devices out first.

There will probably be a 9 months gap between the first BB10 devices and this one and by the time it’s out, the hardware will be a year behind. The Optimus G has similar specs TODAY.
If the first devices are not sluggish, BB fans will not really care about the A series, unless it comes with a new camera or can project holograms, but it could be the device that captures market shares after BB10 has been proven as a good alternative to Android.
