RIM Giving Arduino Uno Boards to Devs @ BlackBerry Jam Americas

ArduinoBoard

Now this is one of those freebies from RIM that may have a deeper meaning. We have been hearing from multiple devs (confirmed by N4BB) that RIM is giving away Arduino Uno boards to developers who complete the survey at BlackBerry Jam Americas. In case you are not familiar with it the Arduino open source boards are the microcontroller boards behind many garage projects by developers creating everything from remote controlled desktop missile launchers to controlling a home brewery. RIM’s teams have even used the board in the past to show off concepts.

This all makes me wonder if RIM is shortly going to give developers access to connecting third party peripherals over USB or Bluetooth…
