Last night among beers with friends, some who recently have left RIM, the R series device was mention. They said it will be the Curve line for BlackBerry 10 devices, and what they believe will help bring BlackBerry 10 in to many hands with the mid market device. No specification were mentioned whether device was (qwerty or full touch), but they said it will be brought to market around May of 2013. With that said it does make sense since RIM has previously mentioned that they will bring around six different devices to market throughout the year. Some of the tidbits of information is that this device is intended for mid level users the device is one of those that should sell well. RIM usually hosts their BlackBerry World in Orlando and the 2013 is scheduled for May 14-16.
We are hopping to get more information soon on this device…

R = rumour
Anyway, I hope that’s not true. Cheap BlackBerrys? What’s the point! Just wait a year and sell the old ones at a discount!

I visit blackberry daily and the only two series they mentioned are the L and N series. Some people will tell their version of the story I only believe the facts given by the Blacberry team.
