Samsung Starts Mass Producing 128GB Flash Memory for 2013 Phones

Samsung Memory Chips 128gb

It hard to believe that it has been almost 5 years sin ce vendors started introducing 64GB devices. Over the years vendors including RIM have been making devices in standard 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB flavors. Now it looks like we will finally start seeing 128GB devices. One of the leading flash memory manufacturers, Samsung, has announced that they have started mass producing 128GB memory eMMC NAND memory chips. These chips get a whopping 140MB/s read and 50MB/s write speeds and fit in the same slim size as the previous 64GB and lower chips.

Anyone else excited for a 128GB BlackBerry 10 device?

  1. Absolutely, this will make Iphone 5 look obsolete.

  2. I would like to see a base 64GB and an uplevel 128GB model. That would really set RIM apart.

    Do it RIM!
