Dev Shares What To Expect Porting iOS Games to PlayBook & BB10

We told you about the developer of Pop Corny, Charilaos Kalogirou, bringing his iOS game to the PlayBook last week. He shared some of his feedback on developing for the PlayBook. Now he has formalized it into a blog post providing some insight to iOS developers on what to expect when porting to QNX for the PlayBook and BlackBerry 10. It is not a long read but it will give you a basic idea of what is entailed.

  1. Great article, great game. Devs gotta realize : bein’ on BB X at launch is ridin’ the gravy train.

  2. It’s great that more and more devs learn that RIM has a new platform, but I’m not sure why anybody would act surprised that it only take a few hours/days to port games/apps written in C++ to another POSIX compliant OS wich comes with the same abstraction layers.

    Granted, RIM did a good job with the toolchain this time :)
