Mike Kirkup made a name for himself at RIM awhile back when he was the Senior Director of Developer Relations. He left RIM awhile back as Alec Saunders took over the reigns of wooing developers to the BlackBerry platform. Kirkup is now the Director of Student Innovation at the University of Waterloo Velocity program and is still invested in the Waterloo startup community. Bla1ze at CrackBerry noticed that Kirkup sat down with CTV for an interview today to share his thoughs on RIM and what its current struggles mean for Waterloo.
