RIM introduced a new Parental Controls feature in their latest OS 7.1 releases that has worked quite well. When they launched it they promised that it would be coming to older devices shortly and they have made good on that promise. Don let us know that RIM has released Parental Controls in App World and it seems to be compatible with most if not all OS 6.0+ BlackBerry smartphones.
Check out the free app here and RIM’s original announcement of the feature for more information

It’s great to see RIM give us parents that much control
I’m not one to police my kid’s activities — who has time for that? There are “terms of use” and I do spot checks to make sure they’re not doing anything weird. However, I don’t want them to stumble on stuff they shouldn’t.
