Spotify for BlackBerry Comes Out of Beta for Certain BlackBerry Devices

Spotify BlackBerry

Spotify has been running a public beta of their BlackBerry app for awhile now and Deb let us know that it is now out of beta. The app lets you listen to your Spotify music but is sadly only supporting certain BlackBerry models on GSM networks. Specifically it claims to support the 9900 Bold, 9780 Bold, 9700 Bold, 9300 Curve, 9000 Bold, 8520 Curve and specifically says that Torch models or CDMA phones are currently supported.

You can download the Spotify app now in App World as long as you live in a country where Spotify is available.

  1. Not for Torch 9850

  2. The 9930 has a prebeta test version available from a developer. It can behad by searching for the cdma version and then finding the developer who has access. He is on twitter. His name is Oskar grenholm

  3. I don’t understand who pays for a music service subscription! It seems ridiculous to me to pay a fee to listen to music. What’s wrong with FM radio?

  4. Aaargh, of course I have the 9930! Can someone just post the CDMA version if it exists.
