IMG_6397

As promised the PaceMaker team has released their music DJ app for the BlackBerry PlayBook. They just released the link that should work from your BlackBerry PlayBook but it may take a bit to show up on the App World servers. If you like mixing your own tunes or just want to have a bit of fun we highly recommend PaceMaker.

Check out PaceMaker in App World from your PlayBook. Here is the demo video in case you missed it:

  1. Link to app isn’t working, just get a “Unknown item” error :(

  2. I got it!! Let’s hope its worth the $20 smakers!!!! Ill post my thoughts on it.

  3. The link worked perfectly for me! :) love the app lol $20 was a bit out there lol… BUT I went w/it… :)

  4. Link works,..

BUT – AppWorld doesnt.. tried to search for the app – no results,.. clicking on the link – and the app shows…

No wonder why I can’t find all those tens of thousands of apps…

I did a count one day – went through all the categories in my AppWorld,.. and I counted about 600 apps in total…

Wonder where all the rest is…

  5. I was excited about this app just to screw around with until I saw the $20 price tag. $5 – yes, $20 – hell no. I could maybe justify the cost if I actually was a DJ.

    • What is all this crying for a few dollars,… 20$ is NOT much for a good app,.. it would be a lot if things did not work,.. but this app works…

Perhaps it could be an idea to have a free limited version, perhaps a version only capable of using the two included fixed tracks… that way you can have a look and find out if this is for You – or not..

For people who cannot spend 20$ on good apps, they should go find themselves other toys…

Think a little bit… HOW much does it cost to develop good apps?

Developers need pay too,.. they need food, have bills, have families etc…

On top of that some apps include licensed material which has to be paid for each sold copy,…

      – and volume of sale is another thing… this app is a niche app, not for everyone, and would most likely – and should not, be sold to hundreds of thousands of people…

So to all you crieboys – stuff it…

  6. Tried it out on my lunch break. I really like it. Takes some getting use to BUT, it has been crashing on me. I did a restart but that did help. IM low on memory on my PB, down to 2 GB storage, would that have an effect on its performace?? if not, i hope they catch the issue and do an update soon.

  7. For those who’ve downloaded it… Does it come with sample loops and tracks you can immediately start playing with? The music I have on my playbook (mainly classical) doesn’t lend itself easily to being DJ’ed…

  8. mhmm! can you make the app for kindle and ipad? thanks
