Update: artiesberry let us know that the app has been changed to $0.99 from free by the developer.
I have been simply using Google for years as a dictionary on my BlackBerry but Jason introduced me to Pocket Dictionary from SRID Games. This is in no way a comprehensive Oxford quality dictionary but it does work well and best of all it works offline. You only need an internet connection if you want to play the pronunciation of a word. It offers up over 1 million words and gives you the ability to set your own user defined list of words to come back to.

I was using Dictionary.com, a pretty good App and just recently they upgraded to v2 and now it is a link and not an application. How lame is that? Can’t believe RIM would allow this.
Thanks, I’ll give this one a try.

With the popularity of Blackberry in the UK I can’t understand why we don’t have the OED app for the playbook or BB smartphones.
Hopefully we get it with BB10/

I’ve installed this app on my Bold 9000 but it runs really slow! It just keeps on loading and loading and never gets any result, tried to wait it out for 5 minutes for just one word search but still nothing. Can anyone help me with this? (P.S. My phone is still running on O.S. 4.6 but still have tons of free app memory)
