BlackBerry 7 Approved For Government Use in UK, Australia and New Zealand

BlackBerry 7 Family Part 2

RIM just got approval for BlackBerry 7 devices to be used by the US government from the DoD. Now that has been extended with approvals from the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. The CESG, National Technical Authority for Information Assurance in the UK, gave their stamp of approval for BlackBerry 7. They also got it from the Defense Signals Directorate of the Australian Government for Australia and New Zealand. Chalk one more up for RIM’s security that will help them remain leaders in the enterprise and government market until BlackBerry 10 takes hold.

  1. Another factor in BB10’s success is RIM’s ability to retain their industry leading security options for business and government, while adding the entertainment factor the onsumers crave.
