More Great Games Heading to the PlayBook

It seems Anders still has more in store for us PlayBook gamers!  Today he announced over twitter about some hot new titles coming soon to an AppWorld near you!  Some of the new games coming include 5 titles from Halfbrick such as Jetpack Joyride. We have SEGA dropping Sonic 4. And other titles such as  Smashcops by Unity, GlitchSoft bringing Star Marine, and Fishlabs releasing Galaxy on Fire 2.

Now there was no exact dates or timelines for these upcoming titles, but as most of us who do a lot of gaming on our PlayBooks, they cant come soon enough.

  1. I think for the first time since the playbook launch I am beginning to pace myself in buying the games I enjoy because of the large influx of wonderful games coming to the playbook. Thanks devs, keep them coming!

    • Hi @jjscholer,

Alex from RIM here. It’s great to have a ton of gaming options, isn’t it? Anders and his group have done some incredible work, and our dedicated community of developers is working hard to bring you even more.

Speaking of PlayBook games, I’d recommend making your next one Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, which just became available for the PlayBook. The full details and download link are available on our Inside BlackBerry Blog:

  2. And more than games – something tweeted by Alec Saunders:

Follow this space carefully tomorrow… Just confirmed some amazing news for #bbdevs tomorrow!

  3. Lara Croft was released today. Not sure why it was missed as a post.

  4. Is RIM turning the corner? I hope so! So many friends defecting. First it was those that didn;t really like the berrys, lately its been those that like their blackberrys but just think it’s over. Come on RIM hit one out of the park and at least that latter one’s will come back!!!

  5. Keep in mind that these games will all be going to BB10 phones in the fall too!
