If you are anxious to see what RIM is cooking for BlackBerry World here is an early preview of the Developer Alpha device that developers will get at the BlackBerry 10 Jam. We don’t expect RIM to show us the actual hardware of the future BlackBerry 10 devices so this is the closest that it will get. RIM is going to showcase the OS and developer tools for BlackBerry 10. This is mainly where the future is at, the BlackBerry 10 OS, and the hardware may be totally different from this Developer mini PlayBook looking device.
So are you excited about this week? Sound off below, Ronen and Tim will be in Orlando covering the news from BlackBerry World. So keep your RSS and this page on refresh to keep up with the news.

Like the PlayBook factor. I like the synthetic leather feel of PlayBook and overall form factor.

I too like the feel of the Playbook.

I’d buy this as is, but I think the Lumia 900 looks a little more polished. Having said this, I think RIM’s production version will look super.
I hope the production version will look even more minimal all black, with black keys. and glass such that the bezel and the glass are the same color.

Also really glad there is no “Blackberry” on the front. Go minimal!

I don’t. Know, this is looking pretty sleek for a beta model. I hope they add some waterfall curves for gaming like the BlackBerry Torch 9850/9860 series.

Aside from the location of the camera, it looks pretty much like a scaled-down PlayBook. If it has the same rubberized feel I think this would do well without any changes to the design. The looks are important, but it’s the OS that really needs to impress.

I guess what you do get there is that the buttons and the trac button will be gone with BB10.
