Days before the second BlackBerry World kicks off we get a first look at what is expected to be the BlackBerry development phones. TRlPPlN over at crackberry posted what looks to be the best glimpse yet of what awaits BlackBerry users. The device looks the size of the most android phones, and I have to say it is looking much better. This is probably not the device we will see release in the fall but what developer will get to test BlackBerry 10 apps.

Love the mini-playbook look.

So minimal, yet aggressive being all black. If its texture is like the playbook thats a winning design

Not much to see, looks like any other rectangular phone. I’m sure BB10 hardware will look better than that. Hope to see BB10 in action this coming week, hope to see something real good!

I wouldn’t hold my breath on it all rim will probably demo is the OS and no hardware. This dev phone is the closest it will get.

Looks like an iPhone or android device…. Good move forward. BB never appealed to the techy, now let’s see what 10 has to offer. Dev support and apps are key now, too bad it’s debut will be vs. next iPhone.

Interesting, based on this model it doesn’t look like there will be a removeable battery. I hope they still keep the sd card slot.

It’s possible that the bezels on the top and bottom may be used to swipe left and right as well.

I’m hoping that with OS 10 rim and bb will be able to prove that bb OS is the best in the world. I would like to see bigger screen than the 9860 that I’m presently using.

I’m good with it so far. I keep seeing people saying it looks like an i(diot)-phone. REALLY?!?!?! Must be some level of psychotic fixation there. All touchscreen phones look basically alike.
Let’s get over this (looks like…) thing.
Wonder what the final version will be like?

The reason people sau it looks like the iphone is they forget that all iPhones are incased in rubber so that they can make phone calls. It actually looks about as far away from an iPhone as one could get considering they are both glass slabs.
I do think the first phone (not the developer phone) should be a slider is the keyboard kind they should play to their strengths.
