I was kind of mad the fact that Trapster was taken out of App World a while back, but it has made a comeback. The App is available for download from App World after missing for more than a year. The app was removed after some law makers across the country argued the app was just a tool for drunk drivers were using it to evade checkpoints, and putting safe drivers, and themselves in danger. Though they make a good point, I used it when traveling long distances were I was not familiar with the areas, and it would alert me of potential speed traps. Many travelers often find themselves in speed traps that are sometimes unfair to outsiders.
The app actually helps you stay alert, and keeps you from speeding. You should not use it irresponsibly to get yourself or others in danger by thinking it will save you from speeding tickets, I don’t believe that is the intention of the app. Like any other tool, it is only as useful as you make it be.
