The creator of the popular app SayIt just launched an app that adds a cool utility feature to your PlayBook. The app is called Handy Scanner, and it does exactly what the name says. It allows users to scan something with the camera turning it to a PDF format. The app requires OS 1.0.0 or higher and cost $1.99 on App World at this link.
The app has only been in App World for a few days and it has already made its way to the top paid applications.

HOW TO USE
- Create PDF from camera
- Type in the output PDF file name » Press “Capture image” button, you will be prompted to capture multiple image or not » Press “Create” button to create PDF from captured image(s) » Press “Open PDF” if you want to open PDF file instantly. All PDF file will be saved on Documents folder.
- Create PDF from local image
- Type in the output PDF file name » Press “Browse image” button, you will be prompted to select multiple image or not » Press “Create” button to create PDF from selected image(s) » Press “Open PDF” if you want to open PDF file instantly. All PDF file will be saved on Documents folder.
NOTE
- » All converted documents will be saved on Documents Folder and ready for you to attach in an email or to print
- » Currently support A4 format in landscape and portrait mode

Bought it and did a couple quick tests with it. Did pretty well. Can’t wait to get back in the field with it. That will be the BIG test. Impressed so far though.
