I awoke, bleary-eyed and in desperate need of a pick-me-up. I floated semi-consciously through the coffee set-up process, hit Brew, and sat down with my PlayBook to start my morning. Imagine my delight when the first thing I saw was an update for Xploding Boxes!
Xploding Boxes has been updated to version 3.2, adding 15 new levels, for a grand total of 285. PlayBook owners can also take advantage of a new feature: speed adjustment. You can now set the pace of the game to Slow, Normal, or Fast. Slow is, well, painfully slow. It will prolong your suspense, and also your agony. Fast, on the other hand, rushes you to your doom, kicks you in the teeth, mocks you in your defeat, and challenges you to try again before you can finish shaking your bewildered head. I’m hoping this feature makes it to the BB version of the game, because I feel like it runs slower on my 9900 than it does on my PlayBook.
We are approaching an entertainment cost of 1 shiny (or maybe not so shiny) penny per level, here, folks. I challenge you to find another game that offers this much replay value and overall bang for your buck. And head scratching. And hair-pulling. And teeth-gritting…
