FileScout Demo’s Upcoming Wi-Fi File Sharing Plugin for Smartphones

One of my favorite features on my PlayBook is the ability to easily access my PlayBook’s files from my PC over Wi-Fi. There have been a few apps that do this for smartphones but the hugely popular FileScout app is about to get a similar feature. Matthias from EmacBerry sent me this demo video of his upcoming Wi-Fi File Sharing plugin for both FileScout and FileScoutLite. It lets you easily access the content from your BlackBerry smartphone from your PC over Wi-Fi and if you are using Google Chrome you can simply drag and drop files to upload or download them.

I am not sure if it will be a premium or free plugin but we should know soon. I also asked if the app will use your current CellID to turn on Wi-Fi and sharing when you are home and Matthias confirmed that a HotSpot monitor is already integrated to turn on the Wi-Fi file server if  it sees your home Wi-Fi network.
